When I was a kid and I used to walk by a newsstand or found myself with my parents on the supermarket checkout line, I remember seeing a magazine that seemed to have what i thought were very cool, illustrated, funny covers …yet I knew there was something inappropriate about them. It was National Lampoons, didn’t anything about it except I was dying to see what it was like inside, and of course when my parents where paying for groceries, I peeped. OK it was full of lots of big words, funny photos and boobs and butts. So yeah, I liked it. But didn’t hear that title until I saw Animal House and Vacation films. But 30 something years later I see this documentary and it blows my how reflective this was of the America we were promoted, along with the creative genius. Needless to say. Watch this documentary or that dog up there is as good as dead.
