Let’s Do It: Sunday, August 13th. Starting at 12pm Uptown. Washington Heights. Inwood
Dominicans wish that I was born there
Todays the day that the Dominican presence is recognized by and in NYC. That acknowledgement is made in the form of a Dominican Dayparade, which goes down on 5th Ave. The parade is just a once a year happening, but to really feel the presence of this massive group presence in New York City, you have to go Uptown. Its in the Northern Manhattan communities of Washington Heights and Inwood, that the Dominican music plays the loudest, the dishes tastes the best and that the spirit feels most at home, away from home. You’re all invited.
